Thank you for choosing Psych Blossom! I'm looking forward to working within my community to support clients navigating life transitions and other challenges. Within my work I hope to provide a safe space for everyone to build trust and rapport. I feel the most important step in therapy is building a strong therapeutic relationship.

Here is some background information about me. I graduated in 2017 from Nova Southeastern University with my Masters in Mental Health Counseling. I have been working within this field for 7 years. I have worked with a variety of clients, such as children within the foster care system to adults navigating life transitions. I take time to consider various perspectives, offering a comprehensive understanding of life’s challenges.

I am trained in using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioral Trauma-Focused strategies. When working with clients who have experienced trauma, my focus is on proceeding at the right pace. There is no rushing when it comes to trauma processing, emphasizing the importance of communication to ensure clients feel in control. There will be days where the trauma will be the main focus and other days where a good venting session is needed. Both approaches can contribute to significant progress in therapy.

I also specialize in working with clients dealing with challenges like anxiety, depression, and other mood related difficulties. I have had anxiety from a very young age, and found strategies within my schooling/work that have helped me to better manage it. Having that experience I think has helped me to be a therapist who understands these types of struggles in a more direct way. The strategies I use to help navigate are Cognitive Behavioral strategies because I feel they create a toolbox of skills that can be used outside of therapy, and that are useful in all sorts of situations.

I’d also like to share that I am a pretty big nerd. I love to read, play video games, and collect pokemon cards. If you have similar hobbies I am always open to talking about them with you! I am married and have been with my husband for 11 years. We have a newborn daughter and 2 dogs (a dachshund and Australian cattle dog) who we enjoy spoiling each and every day. When I am not working my days are spent playing, going for walks, watching anime, and sorting my pokemon cards. I am excited to be able to get to know more about you, and hope that together we can navigate whatever challenge is presented. I will always do my best to provide you the best support possible.
