Crystal Roland, J.D., MSW, RCSWI, brings her thoughtful understanding of the human

experience to her work with clients and offers tailored therapeutic services from a place of her

own lived experiences. Crystal understands adversity, as she was a young mother who overcame

substantial challenges including divorce, single parenting, and earning a higher education while

working. Additionally, Crystal zealously advocated as a lawyer for a broad range of clients in the

family law system for over 15 years and deeply understands the negative mental health outcomes

that oppressive and broken systems can have on people, families, and communities.

Crystal’s approach is eclectic, holistic, and client centered. Crystal is curious, dedicated, and

committed to honoring each client’s own experiences and inner wisdom, strongly believing that

everyone is an expert in their own life. Crystal’s approach is intuitive and direct, and her ideal

client is someone who values self-awareness and growth with the goal of self-actualization.

Crystal holds space for her clients in their unique healing journeys while being grounded by the

values of nonjudgment, authenticity, and compassion. It is Crystal’s sincere desire that her clients

rediscover their inherent worth and personal power, and to know that they are not broken but

becoming who they are meant to be without the defenses they may have developed to keep them

safe.

Crystal specializes in working with older teenage and adult individuals who feel stuck and are

searching for personal meaning with a desire to feel more engaged with life. Crystal supports her

clients through life transitions to reconnect, to safely process their emotions, and to address grief

over loss, unlived lives, or unfulfilled dreams, and to rediscover their true identity by honoring

and developing their intuition.

Crystal’s formal education includes graduating from the University of Cincinnati with a B.A. in

Philosophy and a minor in African American Studies, the University of Miami School of Law,

magna cum laude, and from Florida State University with a Master of Social Work Degree. Her

professional experience began as a Public Defender, and then she began practicing family law in

private practice. Through her professional experiences, Crystal developed meaning and purpose

in advocating for those without a voice, empowered clients to utilize their strengths, and has

always spoken truth to power. Due to her life and professional experiences, Crystal is poised to

meet clients wherever they may be on their path to guide them toward vibrancy, authenticity, and

well-lived lives. Crystal looks forward to the opportunity to work collaboratively with clients to

inspire them to have the courage and discipline to build life and interpersonal relationship skills

so they may experience less disconnection, conflict, grief, and disharmony.

Crystal is also a KRI Level One Certified Kundalini Yoga Teacher and holds level one Usui and

Jikiden Reiki certifications. Crystal enjoys long walks and recently completed the Camino

Frances. Her passions include cultural experiences through travel, perfecting her favorite recipes,

reading almost anything, unwinding with friends and an iced latte, and being at home with her

two Chow Chows.
